Formation Of The Family Practice Press
The Family Practice Press was formed in 1995, following Julian Nettlefold’s horrendous experiences during his divorce proceedings and the lack of care shown towards his son, Harry. Julian wrote, ‘Saving The Situation’, a self-help book aimed at assisting men in difficult relationships before they get into the hands of Family Lawyers. This was updated and republished in 2018. There was no help for the Battered Husband when Julian was forced to leave his son Harry then aged 18 months in the care of a knowingly violent woman.
This was followed by ‘Trial By Deceit,’ Julian recounts the harrowing story in full, describing his battle with the English courts system and the extensive campaign aimed at attempting to change the law with regard to men and their children. As this book is written, some 30 years later, Julian has not received one penny in compensation from his former solicitors, Hodders. The law has yet to change. Hopefully the murder of his son Harry aged 22 at the hands of his evil mother and stepfather will create much needed changes.
The third book, ‘Cliffs of Shame,’ deals with the horrendous death of Harry and Julian’s quest from the truth following the 2012 Inquest at Eastbourne.
The Family Law system is in turmoil in the UK with practitioners and government alike trying to change from within without revealing the corrupt and illegal processes carried out by Family Lawyers in the 1990s which resulted in as many as 100,000 men losing their homes and contact with their children. Those children have been subject to the loss of a father figure. This fact was aptly drawn out in the 2011 London Riots where 84% of those children who went rogue had no fathers.
The Family Practice Press is a gender-neutral organisation whose aim is the total reform of the UK Family Court system and to make domestic violence a crime tried in the criminal not the civil courts.
