30 Dec 2025. The draconian 1985 Family Homes and Domestic Violence Act allowed women to exclude their partners or husbands from the family home alleging violence but with no proof of violence required to be exhibited; thus the case was heard in the civil courts.
Family lawyers ruthlessly exploited this law by using it as a means to take control of the family home, usually in the name of the man, by taking a charge over the home to pay legal fees.
At the same time as allowing the fabrication of violence, lawyers routinely removed any proof of violence by the woman ‘By Consent.’
The case was then heard in Court 38 in the High Court and settled by a Consent Order so that the man could not appeal the Order having been removed from his home.
Julian Nettlefold was one of those men falsely accused of domestic violence by a wife who had tried to strangle his young son twice.
In a chance meeting in the House of Commons he was introduced to Gerry Bermingham MP who told him that the practice was rife and that he was one of 100,000 men removed from their home earning lawyers at least £2 billion a year.
Trial By deceit tells the story about how Gerry Bermingham led a team including Dr Malcom George, an expert on male victims, Julian Nettlefold and les Davidson the manager of the MERTON MALE Refuge.
At the launch of his first book in 1996. for male victims, ‘Saving The Situation,’ Baroness Lucy Faithfull, who wrote the foreword, was so horrified that she sent to team so see the Lord Chancellor Lord Mackay. Although not acknowledging the corrupt practices, Ouster disappeared from the legal process and any reference is now difficult to find.
Animal research has shown that baby elephants removed from their fathers become rogue.
In the 2011 London Riots, the Prime Minister David Cameron admitted the figure of 100,000 families affected during the riots. What he did not reveal was that 84% of those children involved in the riots did not have fathers.
What had taken place was the biggest example of forced human engineering in British legal history, with huge consequences for families and society in general.. The boys, with no father figure, go on to join drug gangs, get involved in knife and other crimes.
Malcolm George died in 2012, his work hidden from public view as did Gerry Bermingham in 2023, with only 15 people attending this Memorial Service, his work deliberately concealed from public accolade.
Julian Nettlefold lived to tell the tale in Trial By Deceit.
“Do you know why they hate you?” Malcolm George said to Julian on his death bed.
“Because every time they kick you, you get stronger.”
Trial By Deceit is now available from Amazon, Waterstones and other book shops.
